Pleasant aroma from the coal fires on other boats added to the post summer atmosphere.
And today is a Rest Day from boating.
Managed to get a new 'phone charger for Joanne's mobile from the Pound shop in High Street Stourbridge. It cost £3.99 (...no I cant reconcile that either!)
Caught train into Birmingham first getting the little train (People Parry Mover) from the Town Statio up the shortest conventional branch line in the world to Stourbridge Junction.
In Birmingham managed to get a couple of Audio Books and something to play them on (Plus Batteries, headphones and charger) for an old school pal who is not very well a the moment.
Back on boat for 1300. Talk in the Bonded Wharehouse this evening on "The Railways of Burton on Trent" (!)
Off tomorrow for our climb up the locks to Merry Hill.
