They are everywhere. It wasnt until my sister pointed them out to me yesterday that I noticed but they are everywhere-the Black Country flag that is. Black, White and Red linked together with a chain. This Scottish referendum has started something. (The "No" vote came in last night-had a peek at the telly at 0400 to see how it was doing) So its "Freedom for Blowers Green", "Independence for Merry Hill", "Home rule for Wrens Nest" and "Lets promote the Black Country dialect for Pudding Green". Great; I'm all for it.
Really grey day today with a heavy shower at 1300. Polished off the last 8 miles down Mr. Telfords New Main Line in good time. It was on the railway that parallels this section that Queen Victoria used to famously draw the train curtains shut as she passed through on the Royal Train. Moored up in the wonderfully sounding "Oozells Street Loop" at about 1430.
Joanne leaves tomorrow and my old school chum Stephen Owen and his wife, Bernadette, join us for two days. Joanne has made a Shepherds pie for us tomorrow evening. Thanks Joanne.
Finally here are a few pics of today's journey.
